This guy played a traditional Japanese guitar, called a Shamisen. It only has 3 strings, and the skin cover is made from a cat. This guy was amazing - the way he played almost sounded like techno music.

Rock This Town
Joe and I attended a benefit concert at the Hard Rock Cafe on Friday night. It was a free event aimed to raise awareness, food, and money for the survivors in Haiti. About seven different local bands played throughout the night. The fund-raiser brought out a good representation of Gaijin people (what Japanese people call foreigners)... it was nice to see that this city does have some diversity! A very fun evening for a good cause!
